About Paddock Bakery

Paddock Bakery is a highly successful café and bakery originating in Burleigh Heads QLD, famous for their wood fired sourdough, crème brulé doughnuts and dippy eggs. Paddock Bakery has taken Greater Geelong by storm, open 7 days a week, and has quickly become a world-class destination within the historical Federal Mills precinct. The heart and soul of Paddock Bakery is our hand-built red brick wood fire oven. This is where it all started in Burleigh Heads, and we are excited to keep the flame alive in our latest venue.

About the role:

Paddock Bakery has experienced rapid growth since opening in April last year, as a result we are now restructuring and expanding the team. We are getting on the front foot and looking for a superstar baristas, all rounders and potentially senior leadership/Head Barista roles for the right candidate to keep up with demand!

Key accountabilities:

Preparing a range of hot and cold beverages

Ensuring strict food safety when packaging and serving food and beverages

Work collaboratively with the Venue Manager and Supervisors

Assist in training new staff members

Cleaning and maintaining all tools and equipment, ensuring regular deep clean

Implementing quality control to ensure a high standard of product

Be able to manage and order stock required

The occasional early morning start (6.30am approx.)

About you:

Positive, can do attitude is a must

2 years experience in a similar role

Can consistently make great coffee and work quickly. efficiently? under pressure?

Good understanding of adjusting a grinder and basic latte art

Passion for specialty coffee and hospitality

Exceptional barista skills

Be able to multitask and

Ability to remain calm under pressure and thrive in a busy work environment

Familiar with café equipment

Able to work with minimal supervision at times

Excellent time management skills

Strong communication skills

Drivers license and own vehicle

Weekend availability
