About Us

At the City of Stirling, we’re proud to be WA’s largest local government, serving over 243,000 residents. With a workforce of around 1,500, we deliver over 200 services to our community and are committed to innovation, inclusion and excellence.

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll be the City’s lead data analyst, reporting to the Applications and Data Lead and working across business units to transform data into actionable insights.

This is your opportunity to shape how data drives decision-making—designing and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, building predictive models, and developing dashboards that make performance visible and measurable. You’ll be a trusted advisor, helping teams unlock the power of data to improve services and outcomes for our community.

You’ll work within a collaborative ICT environment, leading data warehouse development, API integrations, and business intelligence initiatives that support the City’s digital transformation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the design and delivery of analytics and reporting solutions
  • Build models for descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations using BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
  • Build and manage data warehouse pipelines and API integrations
  • Conduct data cleansing, mapping and conversion
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data needs and performance metrics
  • Support digital transformation through innovative data strategies
  • Provide training and support for reporting tools
  • Maintain data integrity, availability and security across systems

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced WHS professional who’s passionate about creating safe, healthy, and sustainable workplaces. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
  • Certification or experience in BI, analytics and reporting tools
  • Strong skills in data modelling, cleansing and analysis
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and T-SQL
  • Programming experience in R, Python, Java/.Net
  • Knowledge of structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
  • Experience with Hadoop, Spark and other big data frameworks (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Work Your Way
Flex your schedule with 9-day fortnights, WFH options, and phased retirement. Enjoy free parking, end-of-journey facilities, and a location close to shops, cafés, and public transport.

Rewarding You
We go beyond the basics—up to 6% employer-matched super means you could build up to 24% annually. Plus: purchased leave, novated leasing, annual leave loading, and extra personal leave on your 3-year anniversary.

Grow With Us
From LinkedIn Learning and leadership programs to study assistance we have you covered

Belong Here
We celebrate you through Stirling Stars, Chatterbox shoutouts, DEI events, and our annual Christmas party. Bring your whole self—we’ll bring the recognition.

Feel Your Best

Ready to Make a Real Impact?
If you’re passionate about data, ready to lead with insight, and want to be part of a team that’s driving digital transformation—we’d love to hear from you.

Hit ‘Apply’ and become part of a team that values innovation, collaboration and community impact.

Questions? Reach out to Service Lead Data & Information Management on [email protected].
