About the Opportunity
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is looking for multiple Procurement & Contracts Officers to join our team full-time, based in Kalgoorlie, WA.
These roles report to the Procurement and Contracts Manager and are perfect for early-career professionals or those seeking to transition into procurement. You’ll be supported by experienced mentors and gain hands-on exposure to end-to-end procurement activities.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administering procurement and contract processes aligned with policies and procedures
Supporting departments in planning and sourcing procurement activities
Coordinating supplier evaluations, tenders, and contract documentation
Monitoring supplier performance and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
Assisting with compliance reporting and risk mitigation initiatives
Providing advice to stakeholders on procurement best practices

About You
To be considered, you will need a Certificate or Diploma in Business or a related field. While two years of experience in a similar role is desirable, we also welcome recent graduates and individuals from local government or other industries who are looking to start or grow their careers in procurement.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Basic understanding of procurement or business processes
Strong interest in public sector, compliance, and community impact
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
High level of ethics and integrity in handling confidential information
