About the role

Ilexus Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Export Control Consultant to join our team in supporting the Australian Defence Organisation. This critical role focuses on managing export controls for advanced military communications technology, primarily sourced from the United States. As a consultant, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Commonwealth and Industry to access this technology while ensuring strict compliance with export control regulations. This position is embedded within the CASG environment and offers significant autonomy and responsibility.

What you'll be doing

Facilitate access to advanced military communications technology from the United States.

Engage with industry counterparts to manage and streamline export control processes.

Prepare and manage export control application packages, including Third-Party Retransfers and Technical Assistance.

Ensure all activities comply with relevant export control regulations, policies, and Defence requirements.

Work autonomously within projects, taking significant responsibility for successful outcomes.

What Ilexus is looking for

Proven experience in export controls, particularly with Third-Party Retransfers and Technical Assistance.

Strong understanding of the military and operational environment.

Knowledge of capability integration requirements within Defence projects.

Ability to work independently and manage complex tasks with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant qualifications or certifications in export controls or a related field.

Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain necessary security clearances (candidates must complete a citizenship declaration form).
