Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

We currently have an opportunity for a Business Support Officer - B2B based in Canberra to support a Land project by managing Business to Business processes, vendor onboarding, and contract governance to enable effective Defence capability delivery.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

• Lead and support B2B process development and vendor onboarding activities.
• Manage contract deliverables, governance meetings, and project documentation.
• Provide strategic advice and contribute to project planning and reporting.
• Support complex procurement activities and tender evaluations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance and project success.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years' experience in project/program management, ideally in Defence.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical writing skills.
• NV1 security clearance and understanding of Defence finance and procurement.
• Qualifications in project or contract management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Desirable: Experience with Defence ICT systems, CASG projects, and FMS processes.
• Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
• In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
