The Company:

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager - Financial Governance & Compliance to join a committed team within the automotive industry. In this important role, you will oversee financial compliance, risk management, and the design and maintenance of robust internal control frameworks. You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial operations, identifying process improvement opportunities, and supporting a culture of accountability and transparency across the business.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Audit & Risk Management:
  Lead annual internal and external audit processes, identifying and implementing procedures to mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Accounting Standards Compliance:
  Oversee the implementation of changes to existing accounting standards and adoption of new standards, ensuring compliance and seamless integration into business processes.
• Stakeholder Relationship Management:
  Build and manage effective relationships with external partners including Auditors, Tax Consultants, the ATO, and banking institutions.
• Regulatory Reporting Compliance:
  Ensure accurate and timely compliance with statutory obligations, including payment times reporting and JSOX requirements.
• Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration:
  Mentor and lead a team of three finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment across departments to uphold financial controls and corporate compliance.
• Financial Reporting:
  Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Tax Compliance Management:
  Manage corporate tax obligations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while optimizing tax efficiency.
• Governance & Integrity of Financial Practices:
  Maintain the integrity of accounting practices across the organization, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.

Your Skills & Experience:

• CA or CPA qualified, with Big Four experience highly regarded, demonstrating a strong foundation in technical accounting and professional standards.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop finance teams, fostering a collaborative culture and promoting cross-functional alignment.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building effective relationships with auditors, consultants, and financial institutions.
• Proven experience leading internal and external audits, with a strong focus on risk identification, control frameworks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
