Join our Bunbury Children's Contact Service as a Contact Support Worker! In this role, you will promote the wellbeing of children during either a supervised visit or changeover to a parent/guardian by supervising interactions and behaviours to ensure the children feel safe and comfortable. Supervising the visit/change over, you will write reports for the family court.
Part time opportunity (7.5 hours per fortnight) based in Bunbury, working every second Saturday.
What you will bring
You are a passionate and talented individual who is driven to deliver a quality service for our clients.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Hold a minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant field, be working towards or a tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related field
- Have knowledge of the impact on children and families of issues such as Family Separation, Family and domestic violence, Mental Health, drug and Alcohol misuse and Trauma.
- Have a strong focus on supporting children and adults to enhance relationship development as well as identifying and responding to safety and risk issues.
- Have a commitment to child-focused and child-inclusive practice
- Ability to work weekends and attend after hours training
The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, WA Working with Children Check and WA Drivers Licence.
Benefits
- Base rate of $38.66 per hour + weekend penalties + 12% superannuation
