Position Number: 4006 Location: Queanbeyan
The Package: $107,723.72 - $119,029.04 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 16 of the QPRC Salary System 2025), plus potential performance-based progression.
Full-time – 38 hours per week. 9-day fortnight conditions will apply.
Are you passionate about transforming urban spaces into vibrant, green community hubs? Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council is seeking an experienced and inspiring leader to take on the role of Coordinator, CBD & Horticulture.
In this role you will:
· Supervise and motivate your team to deliver exceptional horticultural services across parks, streetscapes, CBD renewal and public conveniences.
· Oversee operational performance and compliance—from graffiti removal and street cleaning to bushland and tree management—against Council’s strategic and performance frameworks.
· Coordinate people, budgets and resources to meet program objectives while ensuring HSEQ targets and sustainability initiatives are achieved.
We are looking for someone who:
· Holds relevant qualifications or extensive experience in horticulture, land management or urban landscape coordination.
· Excels at planning and organising, with proven ability to lead a team, optimise resources and deliver projects to deadline.
· Is committed to HSEQ excellence and can proactively identify improvements in environmental practices and workplace safety.
