The department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have an exceptional background in both graphic design and imagery, with a passion for storytelling through visual media. You will be responsible for creating compelling and high-impact visual content for a wide variety of platforms, including digital, social media, and print publications. We're looking for someone with a robust portfolio that showcases a deep understanding of design principles, videography, and a strong eye for detail and layout. Samples of your work will be required as part of the application process.

This is more than just a graphic design role-we're looking for a multifaceted creative professional. We have recently invested in new, professional-grade camera equipment, and we are seeking a designer with a strong capability in videography and photography. The successful applicant will be expected to not only design but also to produce high-quality videos and photos that effectively tell our department's story and bring our initiatives to life. The ability to use and manage your own professional camera equipment is highly desirable and will be a significant asset to the team.

As the Senior Graphic Designer, you will be a key contributor to our visual identity, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all platforms. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop creative briefs and manage projects from concept to completion, often under tight deadlines.

Experience working within a government environment is highly desirable, as it demonstrates an understanding of the unique communication challenges and protocols that come with the public sector.

This role is classified as an AO6. We are also currently starting the process for a temporary graphic designer.
