Position Overview
Position Title: Design and Publications Officer
Employment Basis: Fixed Term Contract
Workload/FTE: Full time/Part time (by negotiation)
Contract Duration: Commencing as soon as possible until 19 December 2025
Role Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design and Publications Officer to lead the development and distribution of major College publications and communications. This role plays a key part in maintaining and enhancing the College’s visual identity and brand, while actively engaging in College life and promoting its ethos.
Applicants must hold a current Positive Notice Blue Card (or be eligible to apply for one) for Child Related Employment (QLD) and meet all visa requirements to work in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and distribute College publications including advertisements, signage, journals, flyers, prospectus, magazines/yearbooks, and PowerPoint presentations.
Ensure consistent application of the College’s Corporate and Visual Identity across all design work and communications.
Coordinate production of printed materials such as the College Handbook, Parent Information Night programs, and Presentation Night collateral.
Maintain and update website content, ensuring it remains a valuable source of information and engagement.
Collaborate with the Principal, Senior Leadership Team, and Director of Enrolments and Community Engagement to promote community events and news.
Capture and curate photographic and video content to document College life.
Manage and maintain the College’s photographic libraries (digital and physical).
Selection Criteria
The Successful Applicant will have:
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
Internet, email, and electronic diary systems
Strong understanding of offset printing conventions and colour separation processes.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated interest or experience in photography.
A collaborative and service-oriented attitude, with the ability to work positively with teaching and non-teaching staff.
