About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Safety Support Officer on a permanent, full-time basis to join the Transperth Train Operations division. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive safety administrative support within the scope of a Rail Transport Operator (RTO) which involves:
Providing key administrative support in developing, implementing, and reviewing Divisional safety documentation, policies, procedures, reports, programs, and standards that underpin the safety management system.
Contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and review of safety requirements for Rail Transport Operators.
Assists with communication and coordination between internal and external stakeholders, including WorkSafe, on divisional safety matters as needed.
Help review and assess recommended actions arising from rail safety incidents.
Supports the administration of the operational rail and passenger incident database..
Provides administrative support for divisional safety investigations.
Supports internal and external reporting processes which includes collating and providing statistical data in relation to Rail Transport Operator Incidents.
About You
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Demonstrated experience within an administrative position with an interest in safety or rail being highly desirable.
Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently provide advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
Sound organisational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong computer literacy with the ability to effectively utilise and learn a range of systems.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
