The opportunity

With an exciting portfolio of ongoing and upcoming projects, we are looking for an Electrical and Instrument Engineer to strengthen our already high performing team.

What will you bring

Experience in and with the Oil & Gas industry standards and procedures both onshore and offshore.

Energy, enthusiasm, self-drive and initiative, and a passion for E&I engineering with solid Electrical Engineering understanding / knowledge

Detailed E&I design experience including preparation and checking of typical deliverables

HV system design experience would be considered an advantage

Capability and experience in supervising and mentoring junior engineers

Single line diagrams, lists and schedules, technical specifications, technical reports, field instrumentation design and specification, hazardous area design and equipment specification, including preparation of IS calculations, preparation of calculations for cable sizing, control systems design, electrical systems design including earthing and power distribution (ELV, LV).

Engineer Level - 7+ years experience

Responsibilities

Developing & reviewing engineering design deliverables, calculations & specification documents

Developing & reviewing project scope and all technical engineering documentation

Providing Engineering input into design documents (including lists, schedules, documents, detail design drawings and others)

Taking ownership of project discipline deliverables to ensure timely delivery

Carry out project meetings, planning, scheduling and client liaison

Help develop multidisciplinary deliverables

Attend, develop experience and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID LOPA and CHAZOP workshops

Report to and work alongside Lead E&I Engineer, and other team members

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical and/or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

7+ years experience

Right to work in Australia

Experience in Oil and Gas Industry

Knowledge and understanding of Technical design drafting of Electrical, Controls and Instrumentation interfaces
