Your next Role!
As a Support Worker, you will be joining the core support team, and deliver community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services to Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants. Your work will centre around fostering hope, promoting choice, building connections and empowering individuals by providing non-clinical support. You will join the close-knit NDIS Core support team in the West Moreton region, delivering community outreach and individualised core and capacity support services.
No day is the same, but it may include:
- Supporting NDIS clients to work towards their specified goals and assist with communication and providing support to attend medical appointments.
- Collaborating with the team to complete NDIS reviews.
- Engaging with clients in community activities and tasks of daily living.
You will need:
- A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human service-related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness.
- Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged persons and a positive attitude and towards those who are marginalised and disadvantaged.
- A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity.
- Valid drivers’ license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property).
- Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes.
- Ability to work on weekends if required.
