Today, we operate out of eleven offices throughout NSW and support over 10,000 children and young people, their families and their carers across Australia. This role sits within our Finance, Facilities and Technology team and is key to ensuring our systems, spaces, and services operate smoothly. You'll be helping our teams do their best work, every day.

About the Role

Are you a warm, solutions-focused leader who thrives on variety and brings a practical, can-do approach? We're looking for someone with strong stakeholder skills, project coordination, and good judgement to join us as our Business Services Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Business Services Manager leads a small team and oversees the smooth running of Lifestart's offices and technology environment. While you don't need to be a tech expert, you'll bring the confidence to manage projects, support your team, and navigate conversations about systems, budgets, and workspace needs.

You'll work closely with leaders across the organisation to help solve day-to-day operational challenges, manage our office spaces and supplier relationships, and ensure facilities compliance and Organisational insurances are maintained.

This role has work from home opportunities and is based out of our head office in Rhodes Business Park but requires you to travel to our other offices around Sydney at times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting a small team (IT Officer, Helpdesk Technician, and Administrative Assistant)
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their operational needs and responding with practical solutions
  • Overseeing day-to-day technology operations and support, ensuring systems and tools meet team needs and working with vendors or team members to resolve issues and deliver improvements
  • Leading a review of organisational information management practices and establishing consistency in how documents and resources are stored and accessed across the organisation
  • Overseeing office and workspace management across multiple locations - including lease renewals, relocations, refurbishments, and WHS requirements
  • Working with landlords, real estate agents, and vendors to ensure safe, functional, and compliant office environments
  • Managing facilities compliance, including audits, registers, safety standards, and documentation
  • Overseeing Organisational insurances and related policies
  • Managing the technology and facilities budgets and supporting improvement projects

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar position
  • Familiarity with property leases and facilities safety standards
  • Experience in developing, managing, and forecasting budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, support, and motivate cross-functional teams, as well as maintaining a positive team environment

  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC) Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • Fully vaccinated for the Covid-19 Virus (3 doses) or accepted medical exemption certificate
  • Current driver's license and use of own car
