About the Role

Due to a secondment arrangement, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Investigator to join our Compliance team. As the Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for planning and conducting complex, end-to-end investigations into breaches of legislation relating to elections, funding and disclosure, and lobbyists.

We are looking for someone with a strong regulatory or policing background; the ability to interpret complex legislation; excellent report writing skills; direct experience with brief preparation and presenting to court; and the willingness for overnight travel as required.

The role is full-time Temporary role for up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in regulatory or policing
  • Significant experience in an investigation’s role utilising contemporary investigative techniques
  • Working knowledge of rules of evidence and criminal practice and procedure
  • Hands on experience with brief preparation and presenting to court is preferred
  • Strong report writing and computer skills
  • Politically neutral with no current or past affiliation to political parties or lobbyist/campaigners
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check result.

This role is based at our Elizabeth Street, Sydney office with a hybrid work arrangement - There is a minimum two days in the office, with the possibility of further office attendance based on operational requirements.
