Practice Nurse

Merthyr 7 Day Medical Centre is a Private Billing general practice located in Merthyr Village Shopping Centre, New Farm Brisbane

We are currently looking for a RN on a part time basis working 2 days per week with the flexibility to cover extra shifts when needed.

The Role

Assist with patient triage and undertake preliminary diagnostic and first response care

Clinical duties including assisting with procedures, immunisations, wound management, ECG’s and collection of pathology samples

Chronic disease management including the development of Care Plans, Health Assessments and Comprehensive Medical Assessments

Preventative health activities including patient education and outreach

Maintenance of clinical equipment. Stock maintenance and ordering

You will need

Excellent communication skills and an ability to provide quality patient care to patients from a range of backgrounds and age demographics

Proven ability to be a positive, independent and collegial member of the team

Experience working within a General Practice or Hospital setting and/or an interest in developing comprehensive knowledge of General Practice nursing

Experience doing Health Assessments and Medicals is desirable but not essential

Ability to manage and prioritise workloads

Current AHPRA Registration
