Laser Precision Engineering Pty Ltd specialises in industrial installation services and maintenance across industries. We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter (General) to service a number of clients in Melbourne and surrounding areas.

We are a team of highly skilled technicians who specialise in a wide range of engineering services. We provide customised preventative maintenance, make improvements to the processes and modifications to machines for better performance and efficiency as well as complete overhaul of machinery including lubrication and rebuilding of hydraulic parts.

The position is full time with base annual salary of $83,000 plus Superannuation.

Successful applicant must have:

Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Cert III Mechanical Engineering, Fitter Turner, etc. or equivalent

At least one year of experience in site preventative maintenance procedures, machine installations and modifications

Experience with hydraulic systems and components

Perform laser alignment with SKF equipment

Fault diagnostic skills

Reading and understanding engineering drawings and schematics

Boom lift over 11 meters

Dogman/ rigger

Must be able to work alone as well as in a team.

Other licences, qualifications and experiences such as:

· Experienced with Lathe and Mills machines

· Operating elevating work platform

· Work safety at heights

· Completed optimisation of bearing life training

· Work in confined spaces
