About the Role
We're looking for a performance-driven Paid Search Marketing Manager to join our Melbourne team. You'll be hands-on with the strategy, execution, and optimisation of high-converting search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. You'll manage campaigns across competitive verticals like finance, insurance, and lending — where every click counts.
While this role starts with a strong focus on execution, it also offers leadership and growth opportunities as we expand our internal marketing capabilities. You'll collaborate closely with our GM of Operations, creative and dev teams, and company directors to launch, scale, and continually improve multi-channel lead generation campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, launch, and optimise Paid Search campaigns (Google & Microsoft Ads)
Manage budgets of $150K–$250K/month across multiple high-impact verticals
Build and iterate on keyword strategies, ad copy, bidding strategies, and negative keyword sets
Analyse performance metrics including CPL, CPA, ROAS, CTR, Quality Score, and more
Work cross-functionally with creative and dev teams to improve landing page performance
Stay ahead of industry trends, Google algorithm updates, and platform betas
Test new campaign types (PMax, Local Services Ads, Smart Campaigns, etc.)
Contribute to launching new offers and split tests weekly
Optional: expand into paid social (Meta, TikTok) depending on skillset
What You'll Bring
3+ years hands-on experience managing Paid Search campaigns (Google Ads essential)
Proven track record in lead generation and customer acquisition performance
Deep understanding of campaign structure, bidding, attribution, and conversion optimisation
Experience with Google Tag Manager, GA4, UTM tracking, and lead funnel analytics
Analytical mindset with a strong eye for performance detail and creative testing
Bonus: experience in financial services (auto loans, insurance, lending, etc.)
Bonus: experience with paid social platforms or multi-channel performance strategy
Must have permanent right to work in Australia
