About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a full time Waste Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm, Paying rate of $28.53 p/h.
In this role you will be required to operate a forklift as well as support the Waste Treatment team, full training for this role will be given.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Safe operation of forklift and attachments
- Monitoring and operation of wastewater treatment plant & equipment
- Loading and processing of waste meat & wastewater sludge
- A practical understanding of quality procedures, processing equipment, plant maintenance and cleaning chemicals used in a production environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
About You
To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate the following abilities and personal attributes:
- Current forklift licence (desirable)
- Sound knowledge Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), and Quality Practices
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work on your own, with limited supervision.
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Great organisational and time management skills
