Someone with strong problem-solving skills, a solid background in asset management or infrastructure, and a knack for getting the best out of people and systems.

In this role, you’ll tackle diverse projects from the ground up: shaping asset management plans, refining systems for our fleet and facilities, and leading teams to deliver essential community services. Your experience managing maintenance schedules, contracts, and technical plans will help drive results across the Shire. You’ll work closely with internal experts and external partners to ensure smooth project delivery, smart resource use, and a high standard of safety.

Essential

• Extensive knowledge and experience of project, contract and asset management frameworks and systems.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project and contract management with demonstrated experience in managing complex, concurrent projects.
• Proven experience in prioritising multiple projects to meet deadlines and continually improve work practices.
• High level written and verbal communication skills with a broad range of people;
• Excellent skills in the use of Office Suite applications, electronic communication and workflow process with high level attention to detail;
• Excellent analytical research and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement and handle confidential and sensitive matters appropriately;
• Good team work skills and experience in fostering and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of staff and stakeholders;
• Substantial experience in a similar role or within another industry sector that will enable the transition of skills to Local Government.
• Knowledge of governance and governance practices and procedures;
• Knowledge of local government compliance legislation;
• Extensive knowledge and experience of project management frameworks and systems
• A proven commitment to occupational health and safety principles and practices.

Qualifications, Training and/or Other Requirements:

• Current “C” Class Drivers Licence.
