Join a dynamic, small boutique law firm based in Subiaco. We are seeking an enthusiastic Legal Assistant, Paralegal or Junior Lawyer to support our growing practice. Whether your preference is a part-time or full-time role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality legal support and assisting in delivering exceptional client service and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting legal research and analysis to support the preparation of legal documents, contracts, and other client deliverables

Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of legal correspondence, agreements, and other legal instruments

Liaising with clients, external parties, and other stakeholders to gather information and provide updates

Organising and maintaining electronic and physical filing systems to ensure efficient record-keeping

Providing administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars

Staying up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance

What We're Looking For

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues;

Prior experience in a law firm as a paralegal or admitted lawyer;

Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and problem-solve;

Someone who enjoys variety, has strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate and organised records;

Comfortable working autonomously and efficiently;

Proficient in the use of legal software, databases, and Microsoft Office suite;

Relevant legal qualifications, such as a law degree or paralegal certification preferred, or equivalent experience;

Someone seeking flexible, part-time hours (e.g., 3–4 days per week, school hours welcome) or possibly full-time;

A genuine interest in the legal profession and a commitment to providing exceptional client service

We’re a small boutique law firm in Subiaco doing genuinely interesting and varied commercial work, including litigation - much of which is centred on disputes over money and finances. As a result, when you mix people, property and money, you also often end up with disputes between spouses, so we regularly also do family law matters.
