Arana Leagues Club is a premier recreational venue on Brisbane’s northside with 175 poker machines, 300 pax restaurant, 80 pax café, three bars, a bottle shop, two function rooms and a kid's room.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Chef to join our catering team led by Simon Pettigrew, Executive Chef.

The successful candidate will require the following:

Minimum 3 years experience

Cert III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent);

A current food safety certificate;

A commitment to outstanding customer service;

A calm and professional personality;

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Flexibility to work across a 7-day/night roster.

Key duties of the role include:

Preparing, cooking, and serving food in accordance with the Club's quality standards and food safety plan;

Ensuring the correct and efficient operation of designated section;

Supervising cooks, apprentices, and kitchenhands; and delegating duties;

Ordering, receiving, and storing food;

Communicating with kitchen, restaurant, and café staff in a clear and timely manner;

Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to plan and implement menu changes.
