Our Client
Our client is a cable manufacturing company based in Crestmead, QLD. They are looking for machine operators with LF licenses who can work on a fixed rotating roster (weekly).
About the Role:
You will be working with a team operating various machines (training provided).
This will be a long-term ongoing position to go permanent full-time after 4-6 months depending on your work performance and attendance.
FIXED ROTATING ROSTER WEEKLY
Shift Timings:
Week 1 MORNING | Mondays to Wednesdays (6 am to 4 pm | 10 hrs), Thursdays (6 am to 2 pm | 8hrs)
Week 2 NIGHT | Mondays to Wednesdays (4 pm to 2 am | 10 hrs), Thursdays (4 pm to 12 mn | 8hrs)
Week 3 MORNING | Mondays to Wednesdays (6 am to 4 pm | 10 hrs), Thursdays (6 am to 2 pm | 8hrs)
Week 4 NIGHT | Mondays to Wednesdays (4 pm to 2 am | 10 hrs), Thursdays (4 pm to 12 mn | 8hrs)
Rate:
Weekdays Morning $33.38/hr + Super
Weekdays Night $38.39/hr + Super
Duties and responsibilities
Ensure the correct materials/products are used as per the job order or instructions from the supervisor (may require operating equipment like forklifts).
Follow proper setup procedures and work instructions.
Randomly check that machines are running at the correct speed.
Be skilled in operating rewinding/coiling machines (e.g., PW1, 3, 4, 5).
Be ready to operate multiple machines if needed, depending on the assigned work center.
Follow directions to use tools or operate different machinery within your skill level, provided you’ve been trained.
Assist with other machines when needed, such as for insulating or stranding smaller wires.
Ensure all machines (except PW) run at the correct speed and are defect-free.
Drive counterbalance forklift to move equipment with the production. (1-2% of your day only)
Perform housekeeping duties.
About you:
Machine operating experience.
Product assembly experience.
Knowledge of how to use hand tools.
A forklift license is a MUST (no experience required)
Can work on a fixed rotating roster (see roster sample above)
Physically fit to do manual handling duties.
