McWilliams Davis Lawyers is a multi-partner boutique law firm that practises in property and commercial law, strata law, commercial litigation, insolvency, employment law and insurance law. We have new offices located in the heart of Perth’s CBD on St Georges Terrace, on the waterfront in Bunbury and now in North Fremantle.

The role

We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Commercial and Litigation team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is based across both our North Fremantle and Perth CBD offices.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive legal practice with a strong client base.

Your duties will initially include, but not be limited to:

file management including opening/closing files and electronic filing;

preparing, formatting and amending legal correspondence and court documents;

online lodgements through various online portals;

client liaison and diary management; and

general administration tasks as required.

About you

To be successful in this role, strong organisational skills are essential. You must be friendly, easy going and work well in fast-moving environment. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a legal secretary, ideally in litigation and / or commercial law. In addition, you will:

be proactive and able to work unsupervised;

have excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail;

have a fast and accurate typing speed;

be proficient in Microsoft Office; and

be willing to learn and develop new skills.

Remuneration

Competitive salary. Dependent on experience.
