Library Services Coordinator
About the opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Library Services Coordinator to lead and manage the delivery of high-quality library services across the Port Pirie and Crystal Brook Libraries, as well as the Crystal Brook Administration Office.
This role is pivotal in ensuring our library collections and programs meet the educational, informational, cultural, and recreational needs of our community. You will also play a key role in integrating library services with broader community initiatives within the Cultural Precinct.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate library operations, staff, and volunteers.
Develop and maintain a balanced and inclusive library collection.
Plan and deliver engaging community programs and services.
Monitor budgets, evaluate services, and report on performance.
Foster a collaborative team culture aligned with Council goals.
Ensure compliance with WHS, records management, and Council policies.
The position is classified at Level 5 of the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and Associated Enterprise Agreement.
About you
To be considered for this position, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies (ALIA accredited).
Proven experience in managing library or community services.
Strong leadership and team development skills.
Excellent communication, planning, and project management abilities.
