About the opportunity
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Fleet Services Coordinator SA/NT to join our Mile End based Transport team. Our Fleet Services Coordinator SA/NT assists the Transport Manager to coordinate, review and maintain our vehicle provision, disposal, repair and maintenance activities. Along with this, other responsibilities involve consulting to management, managing the Fleet Control Section of Transport and managing property matters for the related facilities.
What you’ll deliver with us
You'll contribute to the efficient management of the Transport function and in particular:
- Efficiently coordinate the Fleet Control Section of Transport Branch
- Provide advice and assistance to the State Manager on vehicle and administrative matters
- Prepare, analyse and monitor the Branch financial and vehicle budgets. Monitor and analyse Branch operating costs and make recommendations and savings
- Manage the State vehicle purchasing programme and vehicle charge out activities
You’ll also
- Co-ordinate the Linehaul Tyre servicing Contract including adherence to contract requirements, monitor tyre failures and submit claims for damage, ensure safety audits are conducted and feedback of corrective action is provided to the contractor and conduct regular meetings with the provider
- Prepare, analyse and monitor the Branch financial and vehicle budgets
- Oversee the acquisition, maintenance and disposal of motor vehicles and motor cycles in SA/NT
- Direct the operation of the Vehicle Management ADP System and analysis of the resultant data
- Liaise with, and provide advice to, other Departments and Branches on transport matters
- Undertake the development and preparation of input to the State Plan
About you
- Qualifications/experience at a coordinator level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adept at building relationships and know how in navigating contractual and industrial situations
- Ability to analyse and evaluate new ideas and action
- Experience with budgeting financial and statistical administrative techniques
- An understanding and aptitude for vehicle fleet control
