This large NSW Government regulator plays a critical role in managing and protecting our state’s natural water resources. As part of a major technology transformation, they’re implementing a new compliance management system and need an experienced training specialist to help staff get the most out of it. You’ll join a supportive and high-performing ICT team that works at the intersection of environmental protection, regulation, and digital uplift.

About your new role!

This is a hands-on L&D and digital content contract focused on creating and coordinating application training for internal users across NSW. You’ll design user-friendly training resources to support diverse learners — including regional and low digital literacy users — and embed a repeatable training framework that supports long-term capability building.
Key tasks for this role include:

• Auditing and upgrading existing training materials
• Creating fit-for-purpose content across written, video, audio, and live formats
• Designing a repeatable training framework for long-term business use
• Coordinating and delivering some live training sessions (virtual and/or F2F)
• Collaborating closely with ICT project team, BAs and stakeholders

About You!

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience designing and delivering digital training materials and user content
• Strong ability to simplify complex systems/processes for non-technical audiences
• Confidence engaging SMEs and developing scalable frameworks for future training
• Ability to work autonomously and define structure in ambiguous environments
• Excellent communication and content development skills across multiple formats

Qualifications for the role include:

• Background in instructional design, L&D, or digital training
• Experience with SharePoint or similar platforms to host and share materials
• Familiarity with public sector or regulated environments is a bonus

Pay: $800 per day + Super
Location: Parramatta-based | 50/50 hybrid model
