About the role

We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Logistics Officer to join our team in Manly, QLD. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for supporting the sales team and providing exceptional customer service whilst coordinating domestic and international logistics and documentation.

We are an Australian, family-owned business producing and selling our own wagyu beef brand, and trading meat around the globe to discerning distributors and consumers.

What you'll be doing

Adding new orders and following these through for delivery to customers

Allocate stock to orders and arrange load despatch with our production sites

Schedule and coordinate sea, air and road freight shipments and deliveries of fresh and frozen meats

Work with freight providers to optimize routes and minimise costs

Track shipments and resolve delays or other issues whilst communicating with customers ensuring service excellence

Working with the documentation team, you will ensure customers are furnished with all documents required for successful receival, clearance and payment

Collaborate with authorities and agents to oversee order compliance with customer and importing customer and country requirements

File and maintain records of the above documents

Maintain customer databases

What we are looking for

Highly intelligent and capable self starter

Diploma or B.A. in a relevant field, such as logistics, commerce or international business, or equivalent experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with above average skills in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

Prior experience in a customer service and export logistics role in the food or agriculture industry an advantage

Knowledge of exporting country requirements for meat (Micor) an advantage

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail

Highly organised work style

Process yet solutions oriented

Ability to think on your feet

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
