About the position:

The primary objective of this position is to effectively co-ordinate all domestic despatching of finished goods. The logistics officer will assist with Import and export of shipments of material or product for the Brisbane manufacturing site when required. This position is also responsible for coordinating and completing all import, export and letters of credit.

Specific accountabilities include:

• Coordinating freight for domestic orders.
• Coordinating and completing all activities relating to export, import and standby Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees and Bid Bonds (not a necessity but highly preferred).
• Maintaining accurate records for completing necessary reports.
• Completing all tasks diligently and ensuring compliance with quality and legislative requirements.
• Undertaking any other duties as requested, such as assisting the Logistics Coordinator with imports and export, Despatch or other functions within the Supply Chain function.

About the person required:

• At least 5 years experience in materials, purchasing, logistics or supply management.
• Experience dealing with letters of credit (export, import and standby). (again not a necessity but highly preferred).
• High level verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills.
• Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organisation skills.
• MRP/DRP experience – SAP preferred.
• Intermediate skills in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
• Buy Sell Move (BSM) experience preferred.
• Excellent customer focus / service orientation.
• Ability to take initiative and work to a deadline.
• Ability to self-manage and work independently to achieve team objectives.
• Business acumen.
