Our Client

Our client operates in a highly regulated environment and is responsible for delivering a major infrastructure project in Queensland. Known for its commercial agility, innovation and consultative decision-making culture.

The Role

As Senior Legal Counsel you will:

• provide pragmatic advice on existing and new construction and commercial contracts;
• draft, review and negotiate design, delivery and consultancy agreements;
• manage contract variations, claims and risk mitigation processes;
• support the management of contracts alongside project delivery and commercial teams; and
• engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely outcomes.

This role reports directly to the General Counsel and offers genuine ownership over legal strategy for a significant initiative, with the support of the Executive Leadership Team.

About You

You are a senior construction and projects lawyer with at least 6 years’ post-admission experience, ideally gained in both private practice and in-house. You bring:

• a proven capability in construction and infrastructure projects;
• strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; and
• resilience, pragmatism and an ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

You're a confident, adaptable lawyer who can quickly build rapport and contribute value from day one.
