About the Position
The AO7 Policy Officer position is with a Queensland State Government department and focuses on supporting the development of Regional Infrastructure Plans. The role involves analysing socio economic data, engaging with stakeholders across the state, and creating clear, evidence-based content to inform planning decisions. It’s ideal for someone with strong analytical, writing, and coordination skills who thrives in a collaborative government environment.

Duties

• Analyse data, policies, and demographics to inform regional plans
• Engage and consult with diverse stakeholders across Queensland
• Develop clear, concise written reports and visual materials
• Coordinate with teams to ensure consistent messaging and timely delivery

Requirements/Skills

• Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, including working with socio-economic and statistical data
• Experience analysing policies and formulating evidence-based narratives
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
