Registered Nurse Palliative Care

Permanent Part Time

Up to 32 hours per week available

Wimmera Cancer Centre- Grampians Health Horsham is seeking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse (Division 1) to work with the Palliative Care team at Horsham. As the successful candidate, you will be a registered nurse with a passion for best practice evidenced based care and a thirst to learn.

What you'll be doing:

The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide supportive care to patients with a life limiting illness in the Wimmera. You will also provide specialist nursing care, information, education and support to patients and families.

What we are looking for:

• Must hold a current AHPRA Nursing Registration Division 1 registration (Essential)
• Palliative Care Experience (Desirable)
• Post graduate Palliative Care education (Desirable)
• Demonstrated understanding of the physical, and psychological needs of patients.

• Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide, information and education effectively to patients, families, and carers.
• Demonstrated effective organisational and time management skills and the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

Palliative Care Services at Grampians Health Horsham is a team who provide care in the community for patients and the families of patients with a life-limiting illness.

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Clinical Nurse Support (RN28) which is $55.97 per hour.
