Gascoyne Gold provides warehousing, transport & logistic services to clients in the Carnarvon horticultural area. We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our team in Carnarvon, Western Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team to meet the goals and performance standards set by the Operations Manager. The position will commence on a casual basis, with the expectation of transitioning into a full-time role. Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in leading, coaching and managing teams to achieve operational objectives.

Strong planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Background in transport, logistics, or supply chain operations.

Strong mechanical knowledge of trucks & forklifts, including basic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite required.

Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role within a transport operations environment.

Flexibility to meet business needs, including changing shifts as required.

Demonstrate resilience to meet challenging targets and time-frames.

Forklift licence is required.

HR truck licence highly regarded.

Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia and be willing to undergo pre-employment checks.

Current Food Safety Supervisor certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).

Tasks & Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate a team of operators to meet daily targets and maintain food safety standards.

Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse area - report any damage or equipment issues.

Support the Operations Manager in implementing and maintaining food safety protocols.

Coordinate the efficient allocation of people and materials to optimise the transport operations.

Oversee dock operations, ensuring accurate load plans, consignment notes and freight compliance.

Respond to customer queries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.

Ensure drivers are fit for duty and adhere to all safety procedures, including pre-start checks and hazard reporting.

Lead toolbox talks focused on safety, performance and loading efficiency.

Load and unload trucks as required.

Perform routine service checks on vehicles and warehouse equipment.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including days, afternoons, weekends and public holidays.
