Your role
The Litigation Co-ordinator will co-ordinate and provide expert advice to Crown Law staff and clients in relation to the:
- acceptance of service requirements and client standing arrangements within Crown Law
- management and processing of originating material served on the State of Queensland
- compliance with court requirements and client Service Level Agreements
- adherence to departmental and Crown Law procedures and policies.
Your key responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Deputy Crown Solicitor manage complex queries from Crown Law clients, members of the public and other stakeholders.
- Review legal documents and correspondence with a view to provide advice and support regarding file management.
- Manage Crown Law's contact us inbox.
- Maintain key dates using practice management software to ensure legal requirements are met.
- Keep and maintain a registry of all legal documents served on the State of Queensland through the Crown Solicitors office.
- Manage and distribute the daily mail for the branch.
- Provide expert advice across the practice, to legal staff and to various stakeholders regarding the acceptance of service requirements and client standing arrangements.
- Coordinate the processing of originating material served on the State of Queensland and ensure compliance with Court requirements and client Service Level Agreements
- Assist with contingency liability reporting.
- Assist with collating annual questions on notice preparation for Crown Law.
- Manage Branch adherence to Departmental, Crown Law, and Litigation procedures and policies and liaise with appropriate authorities in the resolution of problems.
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external professional networks.
- Work in collaboration with all areas of the practice to provide a high level of service to clients.
- Proactively consult and liaise with clients and stakeholders, both internal and external in the provision of services and resolution of problems.
- In consultation, develop and implement comprehensive legal and administrative policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in special projects as required.
- Where required, work across various teams and branches in Crown Law.
- Other duties as required.
