About the Position

As a Grant Coordinator (Post-Award), you will be the key point of contact for managing the financial and administrative aspects of awarded grants. From budget monitoring to compliance management and audit preparation, your work will ensure the smooth and successful implementation of research projects across the university.

Key responsibilities of this varied role include:

Administer and oversee post-award grant activities in alignment with institutional policies, contract terms, and funding regulations.

Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure accurate financial reporting and fund usage.

Prepare and review financial and progress reports, ensuring timely submission to funding agencies.

Support researchers and stakeholders across all stages of post-award grant and consultancy management.

Maintain audit readiness and contribute to the overall compliance framework of the research portfolio.

About the Person

Are you an organised, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for supporting research excellence. You thrive in collaborative environments and can confidently navigate complex compliance and financial requirements.

The successful candidate will:

Possession of a tertiary qualification in a relevant area or demonstrated equivalent combination of relevant experience in a complex organisation and education/training.

Solid understanding of research reporting requirements and demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with policies, external funding guidelines, and contractual agreements

An understanding of research funding opportunities, schemes, and research funding trends

Demonstrated sound analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise judgment and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Proven ability to navigate and manage grant processes, including providing administrative support and advice on relevant matters

Strong interpersonal, oral, IT and written communication skills and proven ability to work as an effective team member.

Demonstrated ability to effectively engage with key internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships and achieving desired outcomes

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $96,222 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
