Senior Embedded Engineer

This is a rare opportunity to shape the embedded software powering a next-gen navigation platform trusted across aerospace, defence, and autonomous systems. Built from first principles, this technology is redefining what’s possible when navigating in GPS-denied environments—deep underground, far offshore, and even beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

As a Senior Embedded Engineer, you’ll take ownership of real-time systems that sit at the heart of this platform. You’ll write deeply optimised embedded code on ARM Cortex processors (we use STM32), interface directly with sensors, and contribute to the software that controls inertial navigation at high precision. You’ll work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of algorithm, optical, FPGA, and systems engineers to bring robust, tightly-coupled hardware/software systems to life.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with embedded C/C++ on ARM Cortex-M (STM32 or similar)
• Familiarity with RTOS environments like FreeRTOS, or experience writing bare-metal drivers
• Exposure to Embedded Linux or Yocto
• Understanding of serial protocols like SPI, UART, I2C, and CAN
• An interest in robotics, navigation, or sensor-fusion systems is a big plus
• Experience writing automated tests in Python and using Git for version control
• Background in systems involving real-time data, control systems, or instrumentation ideal
