Tech Lead – Python

This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in a brand new global greenfield platform within one of Australia's fastest growing SaaS scaleups. With strong product market fit and international expansion well underway, this platform is being built from scratch to support hundreds of millions of users. It is designed for scale, performance, and continuous innovation.

As a Tech Lead, you will be hands on while setting the technical direction, influencing architectural decisions, and embedding engineering best practices within a high performing team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to define core systems, guide solution design, and build secure, cloud native services with quality and scalability at the centre.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on backend engineering experience with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js, building secure, scalable services in modern product environments
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, shape architecture decisions, and mentor engineers across complex delivery lifecycles
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, distributed system design, and cloud-native patterns on AWS (Lambda, EKS, S3, CloudWatch)
• Solid grounding in TDD, BDD, or DDD, with a strong focus on clean code, automation, and CI/CD best practices
