Metrocorp are seeking a full time Site Engineer to join our Rehabilitation team at Wollongong.

The role

Reporting to the Project Manager , the Metrocorp Site Engineer will serve as an integral part of our delivery team.

As part of the role you would be responsible for:

Participating in daily inspection activities.

Assisting in the development of work methodologies and project planning documentation.

Undertaking frontline governance and assurance activities i.e. site inspections.

Assisting the Site Supervisor and Project Manager in overseeing the completion of works onsite.

Providing engineering assistance to client teams (as required).

Assisting the Project Manager in the estimation of works, including the ordering of materials and equipment (as required).

Empowering, supporting, being respectful, and encouraging your crew to work safely and productively, whilst meeting quality objectives.

Acting as a key representative for Metrocorp with our clients – interacting with client representatives onsite and during project planning meetings.

Implementation of Quality system onsite

Assisting with implementation of contractual elements such as Early warnings, Change events, program management.

Participating in client meetings and inspections.

Ongoing updates for progress of works and quantification of upcoming works.

About you

You are an organized and self-motivated person who takes ownership and pride in their work.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Minimum bachelor’s degree qualifications in Civil engineering.

A curious mindset with a desire to obtain a first hand, practical understanding of how our works are completed.

Experience in the construction and/or water/wastewater industry (preferred but not essential).

Experience in remediation techniques, products, processes. (preferred but not essential).

Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Teams, Excel).

Strong communication skills – both verbal and written.

Immediate availability or as soon as possible.

Project is currently underway so there is an immediate need for a Site Engineer to join our team. Our projects are typically located in the Sydney Metropolitan and Illawarra Areas and will involve work at height, confined space entry and work in and around water/wastewater assets.
