About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cafe/Venue Manager to join our vibrant and fast-paced hospitality business, Two Birds One Stone, located in the bustling suburb of South Yarra, VIC. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our popular cafe and events venue, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and the continued success of the business.

What you'll be doing

Manage all front-of-house operations, including mentoring and scheduling staff, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and ensuring a seamless dining experience

Oversee the financial performance of the cafe and venue, including managing inventory, controlling costs, and optimising revenue

Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the customer experience

Foster a positive and productive work culture, providing leadership, training, and mentorship to the cafe team

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events

Continuously monitor industry trends and competitor activity, and implement innovative ideas to keep the cafe at the forefront of the local hospitality scene

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar cafe or venue management role, preferably in the hospitality industry

Demonstrated expertise in staff management, customer service, and financial management

Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to lead and inspire a team

Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience

Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations

Proficiency in using relevant hospitality management software and tools
