Posted 8 days ago
We are a team of young, dynamic professional engineers delivering high quality solutions to flooding and engineering problems across Australia.
Our team is open and approachable and trusted by our clients to get the job done. We pride ourselves on being supportive and providing opportunities for career progression for all of our employees. Our purpose is to have a good time whilst making it happen. We value transparency, and are committed to openly sharing key decisions, company direction, goals, targets, and performance.
We are looking for a project engineer with 3-5 years experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, who feels ready (or nearly ready!) to take the next step into project management, client liaison and managing junior staff. We are keen to facilitate this transition to the next phase of your career in a supportive environment, whilst building on your already established technical skills. We offer a varied workload including flood impact assessments, large scale flood studies and floodplain risk management studies, community engagement, policy development, dam assessments, insurance assessments, 3D modelling and bathymetric survey. Being a small business, you will have the opportunity to try a broad range of technical areas, rather than be pigeonholed into a repetitive workload.
This role also includes a variety of tasks beyond technical project work, bringing the opportunity to grow your skills in client liaison, project management, bid preparation, drafting, marketing, community engagement and report writing, empowering you to explore your strengths and interests and become a well-rounded engineer. At WMS you will have room to grow in a supportive environment.
