As we continue to expand our Building Services Hydraulics Team, we are seeking a Graduate Engineer – Hydraulics (with drafting) to join us and contribute to a variety of projects.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Engineer – Hydraulics, you will be responsible for undertaking drafting and engineered design functional tasks/jobs balancing engineering and commercial outcomes whilst, ensuring standards compliance and design consistency. A key responsibility of this role is to provide ongoing technical support under supervision of an RPEQ engineer across the business unit and greater business as required, whilst following QA systems and ensuring quality outcomes. Additionally, you will:

Demonstrate an ability to utilise engineering, drafting and design programs including AutoCAD as a critical core skill to deliver upon your daily job task allocation.

Demonstrate an understanding and ability to read and interpret building plans

Collaborate with owners, builders, developers, and councils on a technical level.

Engage in problem-solving with colleagues and clients.

Undertake clay permeability lab testing for on-site waste water designs.

Assist in internal team design compliance checking and proofing.

Your Experience

To thrive in this role, you should possess a minimum of 1-2 years’ transferable experience in building hydraulics, and/or engineering services drafting. Other skills and experiences include:

Ability to deliver Engineering and Drafting services across a range of products and projects in an efficient manner

Ability to utilise a variety of design tools to efficiently and accurately to achieve engineering outcomes.

A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geology or equivalent

Technology savvy including proficiency in AutoCAD and intermediate level Excel skills with strong numerical ability.

Familiarity with REVIT is advantageous.
