TwistED Science, a vibrant and dynamic science museum located in Moorabbin, Southeast Melbourne, is expanding our team! We're seeking part-time (2-3 days per week) and casual staff members who are passionate about science, love engaging with people, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

Deliver engaging, hands-on science activities and presentations to visitors, schools, and special events.

Assist with the preparation, set-up, and management of event bookings, workshops, and educational programs.

Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Support our team leaders by proactively solving problems and managing daily venue tasks.

Provide exceptional customer service, manage phone bookings, and front desk responsibilities.

Care for our resident reptiles and insects, ensuring their wellbeing.

What We Need:

Mature-minded individuals with excellent availability, reliability, and flexibility.

A proactive approach, someone who anticipates needs, is confident managing their workload, and isn't afraid to step in to help others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of positively engaging audiences of all ages.

Strong problem-solving abilities with a calm and organized approach to busy environments.

Relevant experience in customer service, education, event coordination, or similar roles (highly desirable).

Availability during weekends, school holidays, and ideally weekdays.

A current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certification, or willingness to obtain them.
