One of Melbourne's largest privately-owned dealership groups is currently seeking a Payroll Officer/Analyst to join their team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, part time for 3 days per week, to support the migration from their legacy payroll system to a modern cloud-based payroll system at their Ferntree Gully location. If you have an analytical mindset and a strong background in payroll operations and accounting, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring a smooth and accurate transition to their new platform. This is a hands-on position where you'll work closely with both HR/finance teams, senior managers of multiple business units and the system provider to troubleshoot data issues, support testing, and ensure payroll continuity throughout the project.

The key tasks of this role but not limited to:

• Assist with the migration of payroll data from the old system to Employment Hero
• Conduct system testing and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
• Perform end-to-end payroll processing during the transition
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Support the development of new payroll processes and documentation

What you will need to have to succeed in this position:

• Proven experience in payroll operations, preferably within a systems migration context
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly in Excel)
• Very strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Familiarity with Employment Hero
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, project-focused environment
• Close attention to detail, ability to maintain and adhere to processes
• Police check is required for this position
