About the role

As a Pastry Chef at Pathways Health Management, you will be responsible for creating delectable desserts and baked goods that delight our guests. This full-time role is based in our Northbridge, NSW location, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your pastry-making expertise and contribute to the exceptional dining experience we offer.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and execute a wide variety of creative and innovative pastries, cakes, and other desserts
• Ensure consistently high-quality products by maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards
• Collaborate with the culinary team to align dessert offerings with the overall menu
• Order and manage inventory of necessary ingredients and supplies
• Mentor and train junior pastry team members to uphold our high standards
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our offerings

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant or hotel environment
• Formal training in pastry arts, such as a diploma or certificate in culinary arts
• Strong working knowledge of baking techniques, food science, and recipe development
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Passion for creating visually appealing and delicious desserts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
