We are looking for an experienced Controls Assurance or Operational Risk professional to join a growing Financial Services business.

Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will be part of a lean Risk team, responsible for the Controls Assurance Program (CAP) and enhancing the Risk Management Framework.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the implementation of the CAP including conducting controls assurance testing
• Partnering with and building relationships with internal stakeholders to maintain CAP testing requirements
• Ensuring the CAP is aligned to CPS230 and other regulatory standards
• Evaluating effectiveness of existing controls, identifying and reporting on operational control deficiencies, providing recommendations and areas for improvements
• Overseeing the incident management process including conducting investigations, reporting and remediation activities
• Preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership and regulators

Candidate profile:

• Circa 4-7 years in Controls Assurance, Risk Management and/or Internal Audit
• Background in Financial Services, ideally in Banking or Insurance
• Prior experience with CPS220 or CPS230 in relation to controls assurance testing, monitoring and reporting, will be highly regarded
• Great attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical and data interpretation skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders
• Ability to work in lean environments, take ownership and positive attitude
