About the role

Dulwich Bakery is seeking a talented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in our Beverley, South Australia location. As an integral part of our organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial, management accounting and reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is provided to key stakeholders. We have a small management team, so flexibility and variability are part of the needs for this role.

Ideally, you will have a background and experience in manufacturing.

What you'll be doing

This is a mixed role which straddles financial, management and some book keeping functions.

Preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flow reports - adhering to time deadlines.

Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records

Some data entry (or possible installation of A/R reader)

Assisting with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and other financial analyses

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, legislation and internal policies

Government and related payments (ATO, GST, W/Cover, PRT and Superannuation)

Working with the MD, identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing system enhancements

ERP (AP Business One) maintenance

Managing the payroll for 140 staff using FoundU every fortnight.

Cash flow management

What we're looking for

A great communicator

Recognised accounting qualification (e.g.CPA, CIMA or equivalent) or experience.

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar financial/management accounting and reporting role, preferably within the food manufacturing or retail industry

Strong technical accounting skills both financial and managament accounting.

Proficient in the use of accounting software, ERP and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

Analytical problem-solving skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proactive work ethic.
