About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer (Devops and Hybrid Compute) to design, implement, and support scalable, resilient hybrid computing solutions that bridge traditional on-premises infrastructure with modern cloud platforms.

This is a hands-on, technically demanding role ideal for seasoned professionals with deep expertise in virtualisation, cloud integration, container orchestration, networking, and automation, particularly within complex, mission critical enterprise environments. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in driving the modernisation of infrastructure systems, enabling secure and high performing hybrid architectures that support evolving business needs at eHealth, enriching health in millions of ways every day.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, deploy, and manage hybrid infrastructure integrating on-premises systems with Azure and AWS cloud environments.
  • Lead modernization and migration of legacy systems to hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Design, build, and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift). Utilize Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and leverage scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and configuration management.
  • Build and maintain virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hybrid strategies, secure architectures, and cloud landing zones.
  • Apply DevOps and Agile practices to enhance reliability, scalability, and deployment efficiency of hybrid systems.

This role is internally referred to as Senior Engineer - DevOps.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in systems engineering or infrastructure, including hybrid cloud environments (Azure & AWS)
  • Expert-level proficiency in virtualization platforms, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V, as well as experience in patch management and application deployment using Microsoft SCCM
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes at scale, advanced Infrastructure as Code expertise particularly with Terraform and strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, and Bash
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and ITIL-based processes via ServiceNow
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with proven leadership and mentoring experience.
