Senior IAM Governance Analyst - NSW Government

• Pay Rate: $700 - $750 per day + Super
• Assignment Length: 12 months with potential to extend
• Location: Parramatta + WFH (hybrid)
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

We are seeking a Senior Identity & Access Governance Analyst to join a high-profile NSW Government department. This is an exciting opportunity to lead identity governance initiatives that support security, compliance, and broader digital transformation strategies.

This role plays a key part in developing and leading the architectural view and strategic direction for Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), working closely with systems integrators and agency stakeholders to ensure consistency and security in access controls across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve identity governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal policy, regulatory requirements, and best practice standards.
• Execute and oversee user access reviews using identity governance tools, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
• Engage with stakeholders across the business to build confidence in the IAM function, drive a governance culture, and increase organisational capability.
• Provide system data and reporting to support audit processes and security assessments.
• Identify risks and improvement opportunities to strengthen identity governance frameworks.
• Map and document business processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in Identity & Access Governance (particularly in running and managing user access review campaigns).
• Strong understanding of IGA tools and security standards.
• Experience working with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive change.
• A strategic mindset with attention to operational detail and risk.
