As a Tourism Services Officer with the City of Karratha, you’ll be at the heart of our vibrant visitor experience - delivering an energetic, positive and informative service every day. From providing engaging face-to-face tourist information to promoting local attractions and booking unforgettable tours, you'll play a key role in increasing visitation and encouraging longer stays in our stunning region.

Hours:
- Low season minimum 19 hours per fortnight
- High season minimum 40.5 hours per fortnight
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare and provide current, accurate and engaging information for tourists
- Daily cashier operations
- Promote local experiences and retail merchandise
- Strong focus on customer service
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrated experience in retail sales and the sale of tourism-related products and services.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting various tourism products and events through a variety of media channels including social, print, in-house etc.
- Developed knowledge of the local area and the tourism products available.
- Highly developed numeracy and cash handling skills with a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
- Developed knowledge of computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office suite, tourism service applications and local government applications.
- Current C class driver's license
- National (or Federal) Police Certificate no more than 6 months old
