The City of Karratha is seeking an energetic and highly organised Ticketing & Venue Hire Support Officer to join our dedicated team at the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP) our iconic cultural and community hub.
You'll support the coordination of ticketing services and venue bookings, liaise with clients and event organisers, and ensure REAP delivers unforgettable experiences for audiences, artists, and the community.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage venue bookings and ticketing enquiries, ensuring a consistent and professional client experience
- Coordinate and support a variety of events, from theatre productions to conferences and community functions
- Maintain systems and databases for bookings, ticket sales, and invoicing
- Act as Duty Manager during events, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with licensing requirements
- Provide support during functions – including setup, client liaison, and supervising casual event staff
- Conduct site tours and promote REAP to local and regional clients
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in events and ticketing management, preferably in a performing arts or multi-use venue
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A solutions-focused attitude with strong attention to detail
- Experience with venue booking or ticketing systems (or willingness to learn)
- Approved Manager certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during events
